Plagiarism Policy
|
All manuscripts submitted to Epistemic Pedagogy Journal are screened for originality using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin. The maximum acceptable similarity index is 25%. Manuscripts exceeding this limit may be rejected or returned to authors for revision. Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to, the following practices: · Direct plagiarism, where text is copied verbatim from another author’s work without proper quotation marks or appropriate citation. · Source plagiarism, which involves using ideas, arguments, or concepts from other works without clearly acknowledging the original source. · Authorship plagiarism, where an individual presents another person’s work as their own. · Self-plagiarism, which occurs when authors reuse substantial parts of their previously published work in a new submission. When citing one’s own work, the new manuscript must demonstrate significant revisions and provide substantial new insights. Previous publications should only constitute a limited portion of the new article, ensuring that readers receive original and meaningful contributions. |
